Fun, fun, fun

Two nice charts and a horary quiz.

I wish you all a fantastic year.

Let’s start it right, with funny charts and a nice quiz.

This is John II, Duke of Cleves.

Son of John I of Cleves and Elizabeth of Nevers, he was born in Kleve in April the 13th, 1458.

There is no birth time for him, which is very, very sad, and you’ll see why.

This is his chart for noon:

Yes. Regardless of the time he was born in, if the day is right, he had all planets in fire signs.

There’s no way I can say which temperament he had, but his wits are not that hard to guess. Many things can change, of course, but his Mercury is in Aries, combust by the Sun, and increasing combustion — fire on fire.

We have a decent chance of a Moon-Jupiter, Moon-Mercury, or a Moon-Sun trine, but we cannot count on any of these aspects. The conjunction with Saturn also may or may not be relevant.

We can be sure, however, that this is a third-phase Moon on a fire sign, in Jupiter’s house. Earth manifested through fire.

A very quick and active mind, but with a good chunk of melancholy, of earth, of the concreteness and practicality of things.

So, lots of energy, a very active mind, with some earth thrown in for measure. But how did all this energy manifest? In which area of life he was very active?

There might be a clue in Mars. It is obviously important: strong, having dominion over Mercury, the Sun, and Venus. It is pretty happy to be active, having just entered its own fiery domain.

Mars is conjunct Venus, the planet of many things, including art, creativity, and love.

It is also conjunct Algenib, a star at the tip of the Pegasus’s wing. Upwards motion, growth, ascension. It could be that he was a prolific artist…

Well, he was prolific in something, to be sure.

After he married Mathilde of Hesse, he had three kids, which must have been a joy for their elder siblings: his previous, illegitimate, sixty-three children (some sources say 69).

Having lived 62 years, he holds the rare distinction of having had more children than years of age. He was nicknamed the Kindermacher (“baby maker”).

This is Ronda Rousey, WWE and MMA superstar.

Before that, she was a judoka — and a very succesful one.

The does have a timed chart (February the 1st, 1987, 12:39, Riverside, California, USA), but you don’t need that.

In 2008, she got the Bronze Medal in the Olympic Games, the first American female judoka to do so in history.

And this is her Solar Return for the year.

Don’t get tangled in technicalities.

Just look at what catches the eye.

We have a Venus/Jupiter conjunction at an angle.

So, something Venus-Jupitery might happen.

You might remember there is an association between metals and planets. You might also remember Venus is related to copper, and Jupiter to tin.

(If you feel too lazy to click, you guessed right: it’s bronze).

OK, here’s a quiz — I’ll send the answer in the next post.

My cat has disappeared for a bit longer than usual, and I wanted to know whether it was OK, whether it would come back, and when.

This is the chart.

So…. what happened?

That’s it for now. See you soon.
