Deadlines, death, and lines
And some more Quora answers
Well, I said I’d send an e-mail on Thursday to tell people the promotional time for the course was ending.
I couldn’t. I’m sorry.
So, I decided to extend it — until tomorow.
I’m sending this a bit before 2 PM BZT, so: until Sunday, 2 PM, my time, the course will cost 50 USD.
The payment is done via Paypal ([email protected]). If you have any issue, please tell me.
Then, it will be 60 USD.

Just found it on Google, I don’t know the name of the author.
On death.
This is a touchy subject for astrologers, and I apologize in advance.
But no, it cannot be determined by checking the Hyleg, Alchocoden, and Anareta.
I’m sorry, but open your eyes and look at the data. Test it, and see it failing. It’s not your fault. It will never come a day when you’ll be admitted into the elite death-predicting astrologer squad that can do it successfully, no one can.
It’s just that people cling to what they first learned, and don’t want to upset or disappoint their teachers, or “betray” their favorite authors. Some rationalize it evoking a concept of “vital energy” when people are so inconsiderate as to go on living after this technique said they would, and of “natural death” when they leave the stage too early.
But a technique that shows death, except that it may happen years before or years after it, is not really useful.
They might be involved in Returns and Progressions showing death, just because they might be involved in signifying both the person and death, and there are only seven planets in the sky.
The only way — in natal astrology — to predict death is to perform an immense amount of work. You advance the charts, looking for possible times, and check other techniques, to see if the time is congruent. And, even so, sometimes you miss, as it’s true for every real investigation in astrology. No one is perfect.
Clients sometimes ask about those “lines” in the charts. When I tell them they’re marking something called aspects, they usually obsess with them, and — specially in horary, when two planets might be doing things totally unrelated to what’s being asked — have a hard time believing me when I say they’re not important.
The thing is: first, software, by its nature, won’t do the astrologer’s work. An aspect might be shown on the screen, but it might not be relevant, and vice-versa. These lines are, at best, reminders.
Aspects are relations between planets that derive from the relationships between the signs they’re in. That’s why every old text praises trines, because they happen from signs that have the same element.
This means that, in theory, any two planets in the right signs are “in aspect” (this is the reasoning behind the concept of beholding).
But these might not be relevant. When we talk about interaction, in the Sky as in our lives, the closer the more relevant.
Different astrologers translate it into their technique in different ways. I, for one, don’t even look at anything wider than 5 degrees apart in natal work, regardless of how loud anyone screams “ORBS!” in my ears (the concept of orbs is flawed, but this is the subject for another newsletter).
This is because anything wider than 5 degrees apart is happening, even if one of the planets is the Moon, for many hours, so it will be show in the chart of everyone in the world for that period.
And that’s for the Moon. If you think of Saturn, which crawls in the sky two minutes a day… That “difficult” Saturn-Jupiter opposition you think it’s so important in your chart, and exclusive to you, is not yours.
Some more Quora answers, just because I’m running out of time and they’re already there :).
“Do you believe we have a 13th Zodiac Sign, Ophiuchus?”
This is not a question of belief.
Signs are a 12th of the Zodiac, which is a belt around a great circle called Ecliptic.
They are an ideal division of the celestial sphere*.
Constellations (including Zodiacal constellations, that is, constellations that are near the Ecliptic) are arbitrary groups of stars.
Ophiucus — which is not a recent discovery - is a constellation.
[*this will become very clear to you if you enroll in my course :)]
“What happens when Jupiter is in the 1st house, Venus in the 7th house, and Ketu is in the 8th house in Libra Ascendant?”
What happens is that you’ll have to either book a consultation with an astrologer (if you want to understand what is happening to you) or find an astrology teacher (if you want to understand astrology).
“What are fixed signs (in astrology)?”
They are the signs related to permanence, fixity, or the exploration of the possibilities of the element.
The signs are divided in four elements (fire: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius; earth: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn; air: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius; water: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces).
Each element has one cardinal (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn: related to speed, inauguration, beginning, novelty), one fixed (Leo, Taurus, Aquarius, and Scorpio), and one mutable (Sagittarius, Virgo, Gemini, and Pisces: related to transition, duality).
We can link the three modes to the three movements of the Spirit. Cardinal, the initial spark, is the downward movement of the Spirit descending into the world; fixed, the horizontal movement, the spreading of the Spirit, and mutable, the summing up, the upward movement, the Spirit going back to Heavens.
“How can a highly intelligent, well-educated person such as yourself believe in Tarot readings, and witchcraft, and other such cosmic and mystical things?”
Thanks for the compliments.
I don’t know how, or why, you came up with this question; I never ever spoke about Tarot or witchcraft here, and they are two very different things.
But, anyway, I never doubted that Tarot readings could tell the truth (although I have never personally done a Tarot consultation), and I’ve seen witchcraft-related things work, so:
I “believe” in these things (and you probably meant to include astrology in “other such cosmic and mystical things”) because I tend to believe in what I see working. Astrology works, witchcraft (unfortunately; I don’t do or recommend doing magic) works, so not believing they do is daft.
“Does an empty 10th house mean no success?”
Of course not, does an empty 8th house means no death? There are only 7 planets, and 12 houses, at least 5 of them will be empty, sometimes much more, in all charts. The analysis of profession and success is way more complicated than that.
That’s it for now. I hope you like it. As usual, feel free to share it, and pleas subscribe.
