Creation, Recreation, And Aries
A short Easter Newsletter
Happy Easter! God bless us all.

Most people already know that (I can’t shut up about it during this time), but there are many new subscribers, so: Easter Sunday (and therefore Lent; and Carnival) is astrologically determined.
Easter Sunday is the first Sunday after the first Full Moon after the Sun entered Aries. Yes, that’s true; Google it.
The symbolism is not hard to understand: it’s the New Sun, the New Astrological Year, and He that makes all things new is resurrected. When the Moon — that reflects the light from Above — is Full, it is ready to give birth; and He, after having entered the Womb of the Earth, the Tomb, rises again: on a Sunday, of course.
… and he is the Son of God. The Firstborn of Creation. And the date is the first (Sunday) after the first (Moon) after the first (sign).
But there is more.
The Sun was at 0o Aries when the World was Created. In fact, according to Milton (and not only him), it was stationary there, and only moved after — and because of — the Fall:
(Yes, astrology, according to Paradise Lost, was created to show us our failings; don’t get mad at the horary astrologer when one of us say they’re not going to marry you).
The Sun, according to Tradition, was also there when Abraham was told by an angel to sacrifice his only son, Isaac — and, rewarded by his obedience, found a lamb to replace him on the alter.
Christ is the sacrificial lamb. And his death and resurrection are connected to the Celestial lamb, Aries.

The Golden Fleece, the myth (ok: one of the myths) associated with Aries is also connected to rebirth, blessing, and sacrificing to the Gods.
Of the twins carried by it above the Hellespont, the one that looked downwards fell; the one that looked upwards made it out of the dangers of this world and into what resembles Eden more than a bit.
Twins are a fit symbol for us, part material, part divine: the divine bit may reach Paradise; the material bit falls down. As Christ did with His body, ours will, too, one day rise; but that’s another subject.
There, he sacrificed the golden ram to the Gods, giving them thanks for the ride.
And the Fleece is a source of blessings: even the Percy Jackson Series’s author knows it.

That is all for today. Have an excellent week.
